About Us
Ultimately, a graphic t-shirt is a banner that we wave. The images are a way to pronounce our values and the things we obsess over. Here at Paseo Outfitters, we obsess over the outdoors. We value the memories we have had there. To us, nature is sacred, and the experiences we have there are sacred (even the silly and not-so-funny-at-the-time ones). We create these t-shirts so that together we can celebrate every part of our adventures.
Bert's Story
• Alpine Lake Fan • Gearoholic • Taco Lover
I’ve been a graphic designer for over 20 years, but my love for the outdoors goes back even further. Born and raised in California with Mexican and Guatemalan roots, I grew up appreciating the outdoors and exploring new places. There’s something about being outdoors that resets everything for me. I love the challenge of a good hike, living out of a backpack, and reaching a campsite after putting in a few miles.
I also have a slight obsession with outdoor gear. I spend an unreasonable amount of time researching equipment, reading reviews, and comparing specs. Once purchased, everything has its designated place. I probably spend almost as much time organizing my gear as I do using it. Almost.
Combining my creative background with my love for the outdoors feels like a natural fit. Even the name Paseo, Spanish for a walk, stroll, or outing, connects my Latino heritage with my love for exploring.
Most importantly, I’m a husband and father of two. Some of my favorite memories come from exploring new places with my family. With so many hours spent behind a computer, Paseo is my reminder to step away from the screen, get outside, and make time for what matters.
Taylor's Story
• Amateur Birder • Powder Enthusiast • Obsessive Overpacker
I have proudly logged (to this point) 95 birds on my life list, and you can find me most places with binoculars quickly accessible.
Skiing has been a passion of mine since an early age. Nothing fills me with anticipation more than a forecasted blizzard. I love a face full of snow when the conditions are deep and ripping across the fresh corduroy.
I also have a compulsion to bring all of my camping gear on every camping trip. Even for an overnighter I will fill the truck bed, and will keep packing until it's time to put the car in drive. I would rather be stuffing sleeping bags than watching the clock tick.
Truth is, I love just about every outdoor activity, and I love buying gear almost as much. Hiking, backpacking, fishing, hunting, you name it, I am there for it.
Above all else, I am a husband and a father. The realities of managing a house and keeping kids alive are a driving factor for what Paseo means to me. I wish I was outside more, and that is what these shirts represent.
